Counseling services will be offered to international students from December 17, 2014

A leading counseling and career department committed to facilitate the Foreigner students' general well-being towards better life and school adaptability, and social integration.

If you have any concern and difficulty about your personal and school life, you may:
- Inform the Counseling Office staff regarding your referral either by phone or personal visit at the Career and Counseling Office.
- Make an appointment with the Counselor and you will meet the Counselor within a week the Day during the regular working hours

- Information and psychological education
- Initial Interview
- Exit Interview
- Personal/Academic/Career Counseling
- Cultural adjustment issues
- Crisis Intervention
- Psychological Assessment
- Consultation
- Programs for Students' Specific Needs

* IDENTIFY STUDENT'S BEHAVIORS INDICATING THE NEED FOR HELP
(If you observe any of behaviors as follow, Guide in MAKING REFERRALS to Counseling Office)
- Performs very poorly in both oral and written exams
- Shows lack of interest and motivation in his or her studies
- Talks aloud and distracts others in class
- Isolates himself or herself from the group
- Seems to be perpetually tired, anxious, depressed, irritable, angry, etc.
- Is often late or absent
- Fails to submit work on time
- Manifests deterioration in grooming or hygiene
- Feel homesick or experience difficulty adjustingin the new culture
- Shows signs of dramatic weight loss or gain, etc.
- Talks about SUICIDE

** If you observe any of these behaviors
TALK TO THE STUDENT ABOUT THE NEED TO SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP.

> here's how to proceed:
- If the student agrees INFORM COUNSLING OFFICE ABOUT YOUR REFERRAL, inform the student regarding the behavioral patterns that you have observed in confidence
- Listen to the person's situation.
- Suggest that he or she may consider availing of the counseling services provided by the Counseling office for free.
- Respect the person being referred. A student has the freedom to refuse a referral.
- However, if his or her behavior endangers one's well-being and those of others, it is our utmost responsibility to provide such help to the student without necessarily getting his or her consent.
